Male Celebrities Join New Hip Hop Trend - Wearing Women's Clothes

The latest trend in the fashion circuit is men wearing women's clothes. According to fashion designers, it is very surprising that some of the very fashionable masculine men are opting to wear women's clothes. The trend is seen in some of the well-known celebrities like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Jaden Smith. They are all opting to wear clothes and accessories made for women these days. This trend of men wearing women clothes is mainly seem to be followed by hip hop stars and of course what works for a celebrity also works for the common men.

The first celebrity who is popularalizing this trend is the "baby" singer Justin Bieber. He has latest collections from the girls clothing department. Infact in a press conference he said he prefers to wear women's jeans because he likes the way they fit. He said, "I've ragged women's jeans before since they fit me. It's not a trend; it's just, whatever works, works." Kanye West was seen wearing a ladies shirt at the Coachella Music Festival. In MTV Awards this year, Lil Wayne was seen in a pair of women's skinny pants. Following the footsteps of celebrities, the common men are also targeting women's fashion for their wardrobe.

Even fashion accessories of women are preferred by men today. Pharrell Williams' bag which is a Hermes-made Birkin bag is favored by many Hollywood actresses. Snoop Dogg also prefer women's jewelry. Infact Elena Kiam, the owner and creative director of the jewelry brand Lia Sophia, says initially she was surprised to see her women's line being preferred by some of rap's top stars like P. Diddy, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg. They have worn her pieces in music videos and on magazine covers.
